Tribal Torque Necklace

I made this tribal necklace with the metal smith technique. After sketching the design, I saw all metal pieces that are needed for the creation. Once all pieces are sawed, they get filed and sanded, so there are no sharp edges. I hammer some parts to add texture. Once all pieces have the perfect shape and texture, step by step, I solder every piece together with my torch. When the soldering is done, the piece gets sanded, polished and the stone gets set. To finish the piece I add a chain to secure the necklace around your neck.

CRYSTAL: A super stunning Labradorite crystal.
METAL: This piece is made from raw brass. Brass is mix of copper and zinc. It is a lead free, good quality metal that wont lose its color and is easy to clean. The inside of the necklace is treated with Metal Varnish to prevent decoloration of the skin.
You can expect your brass jewelry to get some tarnish after wearing it for a while. Cleaning instructions together with a polishing cloth are added to your package.
