⇻TECHNOLOGY
This brass ring is handmade using metalsmith technique. Metal smithing is the technique for the manipulation of different metals. These manipulations include shaping, sawing, doming, foldforming, drilling, soldering, texturing, stamping and more. I start by gathering the materials for the piece and drawing the design, then I cut and bend the various metal parts needed to create the design. After soldering the parts together, the ring is cleaned with sandpaper. To finish, the ring is polished for a beautiful, shiny finish.

⇻MATERIALS
ᴍᴇᴛᴀʟ: Raw yellow brass. Brass is a mix of copper and zinc. It is a good quality metal and has a beautiful warm gold color. Brass will not lose its color over time, as many gold plated jewelry does. This means that it will keep its beauty forever. It gets a little dull if not worn for a while, but it will shine bright again once you wear it again for a day or so. Please note that brass is a metal that turns the skin green when temperatures are warm and the skin is sweaty. I use brass jewelry all year round and occasionally my skin turns green (it doesn't happen from washing hands or showering with your jewelry on, just from sweat or sunscreen on the skin.) When this happens, you can easily wash it off with water and a little soap.
